Call For NAAHU Board Nominations | April 4 - 22, 2022 

NAAHU is seeking nominations for qualified candidates to serve on the Executive Committee for 1-3 year terms (dependent on position and quantity of votes recieved). You may self nominate or nominate a colleague.

How to Submit a Nomination: Please send all nominations, including a short bio for the nominee with their name, class year, and Harvard school affiliation to naahu@post.harvard.edu. The deadline for submitting nominations is April 22, 2022.

Nominations and Election Schedule:

  • Nomination Period: April 4 - April 22
  • Election Dates: Voting open May 19 - May 22
  • New Board Announced: May 23
  • 1st Board Meeting of Newly-Elected Board: May 31

Serving on the NAAHU board is an excellent leadership opportunity - join fellow Alumni in upholding our charter to foster collaboration and awareness of indigenous history and persistence, on and off campus.

 

Board responsibilities include participation in monthly NAAHU board meetings and assistance planning NAAHU activities. Board members will contribute to new and on-going projects including the Harvard Prize Book, developing a mentoring program, and organizing our Annual Meeting. Each Board Member will be responsible for chairing a committee:

1. Awards Committee 

2. Community Service Committee

3. Nominations Committee

4. Recent Graduates Committee

5. Membership Committee

6. Communications Committee

7. Program Committee

8. Schools & Scholarships Committee

9. Mentorship Committe

 

Please note: all NAAHU members are invited (and encouraged!) to participate in these Committees.
